O'Sullivan sees off Day to reach Crucible quarters
World No.1 Ronnie O'Sullivan reached the quarterfinals at the Snooker World Championship for a record-extending 22nd time after seeing off Ryan Day 13-7 in Sheffield on Monday.
The seven-time world champion only lost in a single frame in the first round, defeating Jackson Page 10-1 last Thursday and met few challenges in the win over Day, making 12 half century breaks.
O'Sullivan's next opponent is Stuart Bingham, who knocked out Jack Lisowski 13-11 on Monday.
Meanwhile, John Higgins came from 10-7 down to edge out Mark Allen 13-12, setting up a quarterfinal clash with Kyren Wilson.
